Recreation and Tourism Standard and Guideline UpdatesRecreation opportunity spectrum (ROS) mapping has been updated to better reflect recent road development, harvest, and other changes in ground conditions. However, this updated geographic information system (GIS) layer needed to be closely reviewed by Tongass recreation specialists to incorporate site-specific knowledge. Other recreation and tourism issues were also addressed by the working group and revisions were incorporated into the 2008 amended Forest Plan. Work Product(s): The product for this work item was appropriate edits to the 1997 Forest Plan.
